Post what is din and half mean?

i want to install a new cd player in my 91 cavalier but i dont know wut din and half means....help?

Its how they measure the size of stereo. Din is standard size. A din and half is special size used on GM & chrysler vehicles. Companys like Pioneer and Jenson make Din and half units so when you go aftermarket it eliminates the need for a install kit. Hope this helps.
