tow hitch?DonEllis 02-27-2005, 12:05 PM want to know if I can put a hitch on my 99 wagon? If so where do I find the Parts I need?not looking to tow a lot just a small trailer to handle some of the things I can't get inside of wagon. Thanks in advance for any info Don SabreKhan 02-27-2005, 04:16 PM There should be a local trailer shop near you that will do installations. U-Haul does them, too. I've heard, though, that the AWD system isn't comfortable hauling things. I don't suppose a light trailer would kill it, though. freakray 02-27-2005, 04:58 PM Since a tow hitch mount was a standard option on the Impreza since who-knows-when, I am sure with a bit of searching you could find one. keita 02-28-2005, 02:12 AM I put one on my wife's forrester before. Got a pretty nice brand for about $100. Easy installation, no drilling or anything, that took about an hour. You should be able to find several sites on the web that'd sell them. SabreKhan 02-28-2005, 01:39 PM how did it install with no drilling and still haul anything? keita 03-01-2005, 01:18 PM Forester/Impreza frame already has pre-drilled holes in them...now that i recall, I may have taken out tow hooks from the back and screwed the hitch into those holes. You do have to bolt them into the frame, but what I meant is that you don't have to drill/tap any holes into the frames, they are already there. SabreKhan 03-01-2005, 05:08 PM That's kinda cool... Right_LiRrr 03-07-2005, 06:04 AM I think sabrekhan is now even more in love with his wagon...if that's even possible ;P SabreKhan 03-07-2005, 12:09 PM Nah... I don't haul stuff with the Impreza. That's what the Saturn is for. Impreza = toy, Saturn = workhorse (small, weak workhorse, but workhorse nonetheless) MDLarson 03-10-2005, 10:47 PM Nah... I don't haul stuff with the Impreza. That's what the Saturn is for. Impreza = toy, Saturn = workhorse (small, weak workhorse, but workhorse nonetheless)Holy crap, that's for sure. We had a Saturn SL2 which was supposed to be a relatively "sweet" Saturn. Felt like a piece of plastic and very weak, haha. SabreKhan 03-11-2005, 11:25 AM meh, max horsepower for a Saturn of that era was 100hp stock at the flywheel, so you're not going to get a "strong" Saturn. They do get 40mpg, though, and mine has never broken anything that wasn't my fault, so I can't complain about them at all. SteveK2003 03-26-2005, 07:11 PM How visible is the trailer hitch when not in use, and how easy is it to add/remove? I like that they offer a bike rack that slides into the trailer hitch, but I wouldn't want the hitch on my car all the time if it's really visible. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
