Replacing Battery

What is the best way to get at the battery of a 1996 Lumina? It is underneath the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. I have removed the reservoir, but there is a bar that goes over the battery to hold it in place. The bar is bolted in below the battery. It is very difficult to access.

Re: Replacing Battery

with a 13mm socket and long extension, loosen the hold down at the bottom of the battery. Then loosen the 2 10mm bolts, one attaching the bar to the fender, the other attaching the other part of the bar to the air cleaner assembly. Once you have those 3 bolts out, you have to kind of "wedge" the entire thing out. Once you've done that, the battery is free.
