Hey guys, I have a wrecked 1989 RS Camero with the 5.0 engine. Can I put this engine in a 1990 RS Camero that has the V-6 engine. If so, what do I need to do or what can I expect? Both are automatics. thanks

i think it is illegal to swap a motor thats older than your car

if you really want to do it, it's gonna cost alot. Your gonna have to swap transmission, rear end, might have to do the cooling system change all the mounts. It will be alot of work so I wouldn't recomend it.

Yea I agree, not to put you down or anything but if you had to ask this question then you probably aren't going to be doing it yourself right?? (hell I don't know how to do it either) So that means that you are going to have to pay someone to do it, and for the amount of money that will cost, you can go out and buy a z that already has the motor you want. I guess it all depends on if you are just in love with that v-6 car. I say sell the 6, save some cash, can buy a z.
