Hey I have my Jetta III GL 94, but the sunroof doen't open, friends tell me that i need to buy the complete kit to remove the old and put the new one, but i want to know if you have any idea of what parts i need to check in my sunroof to see if i can fix it or definitively i need to change it.

The motors are prone to die. The cables can go bad also, but this wouldn't make it quit unless someone unplugged it to prevent it from opening & getting stuck.

the control and the motor is working, but i think something in the arms of the side is broken, but i don't know how to check it.
when i bought it, last owner told me that was working good but one day he have it open and when he wants to close it, it doesn't close, so he pull it with is hand, and after that it doesn't open again.
that's because i think it's something broken, but the motor is good.

You have to take the headliner down to work on it. The cables can go bad.

It's not. You have to take the whole unit apart.
