i dont want people argueing about which is better but i would like to know more about the benefits and the down sides of having an alluminum or iron block. so far what ive read and researched are the basics, for example the alluminum block reduces weight but the iron block is more resistant and is able to withstand higher hp. but besides these few points is there anything else?

thank you for any info you may provide.

there are aluminum block motors with over 800hp is that High enough for you ....I thought so

the only and I mean only downside to an aluminum block is that it can warpfrom heat if the coolant runs low then it could cause the block to warp

Right! If you live in a hotter area stick with your iron block, heat on the Z is a problem anyway. Well at least for extended track time. On the strip it's not so bad. Good Luck keep us updated.
