ok, my clear bulbs work on my thrid break light, they were the stock ones, i got a smoked thrird break light cover, put the replacement bulbs in, and no go, put the stockies in and they work, the bulbs look a little different but they are the same lenght and snap in nice n' tight, any ideas as to why?.... and i am looken to put a different incert into my guage cluster, once i have the cluster out (done it b4 i know how to get that far) how do i get inside the cluster to put the incert in, i ask because i want to replace the stock color with a blue or green color led light, the guage will light one of the two colors (depending on what i get) but i want to enhance the look of that, thanks again guys

the bulbs must be just a little different, or defective. But you knew that already and were just testing us weren't you

well i dont know, can overal lenght have something to do with it??

It's probably the location of the little wire contacts that is diffrent.
I've seen where they are on the wrong side of the bulb for the application, and I just had to flip them to the other side to make it work

its one of those cylendrical bulbs, ive had the same problem with the tail light bulbs like that
