Hey guys, i just went to sound perfomrnace.com and took a look at the sp74 turbo. it says that it spools pretty quickly and also has a high output. would this turbo be suitable for a bone stock 2jz? And there is another question i have to ask. WHen you upgrade the turbo (single) does the max amount of boost change or do you have to start building the internals? -THanks

The internals should hold but you have to do other things. You need to rebuild the tranny or get a new one. On top of that, you need to upgrade the fuel system to hold the ammount of boost you plan to run. Other than that, you should be ok other than getting the proper supporting things such as the manifold, lines, hoses, etc that you'll need to have when converting to single. I would save the money you have right now and buy some type of fuel management system such as a SAFC (or a stand alone if you want to get serious). And possibly a FMIC. If you need any other questions answered, send them this way. Good luck.
