Unhappy 01 Cav passenger seat problems

Howdy everyone. I've got a problem with the passenger seat in my 01 Cavalier. I believe something has slipped in the assembly underneath and the seat will not go back and forth when you pull the handle in the front. I was able to reach underneath the seat and pull the two sides together to make the seat move back, but I would like to fix the problem so that I don't have to go underneath it everytime I need it moved. If anyone here has a diagram or such of how the system should be put together or can find one handily, I would appreciate it. Thanks for your time! =)
