3000GT vs. WS6,TIBURON,STANGgt, Focus SVT
Yup i would have to say it was a hell of a saturday night, i havent had this many races since ive been in college much less in one night, so here we go.
WS6 ls1
well i have to say this was a good race not that close, but good none the less, pull up to him at a light look over and rev, he revs back light turns green i get a good start and beat him off the line by about 1/2 a car length, this lasted until about 60 (heard him hit his rev limiter) then he hits third and he's gone and i mean really gone like once we hit 70 he ran away, i shut down at 90 with him about 2 1/2 3 cars up. oh well twas verry fun
Focus svt
Not worth writing, he got his ass wooped.
Mustang bullet (old new body style)
this was the best race ive had in a long time, i pull up next to him and he takes off i follow, i catch up, we slow down to about a 20 mph role he honks 3 times we go, all the way through first were even, shift to second i start walking slow, real slow im only half a car up by third. midway through third im 3/4 of a car up we shut down around 105 slow down he says holy shit i didnt know that thing was that quick( i get that a lot) gives me a thimbs up and turns away.
Tiburon
this thing surprised me he must have had some work done to it because i only pulled on him about a car and a half in a 40 to 90 race, still he lost, not much to it.
overall it was a good night 3 wins 1 loss, with some very worthy opponents. hopefully i will have some video up in the next few days.

Good races I'm starting to get intrigued by the SL now I really want to race one to see how quick they are. My previous thughts were that they were slow weighing in at 3300lbs, and only having a 170whp, but that view is staring to fade.

170whp r u sure? i kno the autos arent that fast. i would think the standard sl would atleast have 190 whp.they are about as fast as a spec-v stock for stock i think

Re: 3000GT vs. WS6,TIBURON,STANGgt, Focus SVT
a stock sl has 222 hp so unless they have an ungodly power loss which they dont, they should have about 190 whp at least. i will have some video posted for you guys tonight

Re: 3000GT vs. WS6,TIBURON,STANGgt, Focus SVT
the tibby's play no games, lol. they arent fast but they are quick. if it was the GTv6 i wouldnt be surprised if it was stock. if it was an i4 he may have had some minor modifications such as exaust, intake, headers, etc... Hyundia doesnt seem to understand that 11.6 AF isnt optimal for MPG or power. i used to think tibbys slow. and the older ones are. the newer ones are decently quick but they are pig rich. the leaning out that bolt ons generaly do makes them respond quite well. the newer v6's put down 154 to the wheels and are slightly lighter than 3000gt SL so im not surprised.
as for the stang. i hate thoes things, go kill every one on the road. the wanna be fastback 60's new retro modern things....BURN FORD MOTORCOMANY DESIGN TEAM.... well if you look at them hard enough/long enough you sorta get hypnotised by their lines.... well anyway i dont like them, and the convertables are even more ugly....the '07 cobra will be nice though, out of my price range...

Re: 3000GT vs. WS6,TIBURON,STANGgt, Focus SVT
Well people usually run anywhere between 15.0 to 15.5 in a stock SL usually, there are a few under 15 and a few over 16 but they aren't the majourity of the curve.

Um. Did you just say you 'beat' a mustang bullit in a 15 second car? You know they run 13s, right? They'll run side by side with LS1 cars. And a WS6 walked you...interesting.

Congrats on the races(wins and losses). Anybody have any info different from what I found on the bullitts? I've had a run in 2-3 times with the same bullitt in town, so I did alittle research on them.
I know there was a few differences in the 2001 Bullitt and the standard GT, but does it really run 13s? The reason I ask is because I had a run with one on the street several nights, and it really didn't seem to be that much faster than my buddy's regular 01 GT. I saw they had "enlarged twin-bore throttle body, aluminum intake manifold, and high-flow mufflers to make a little more power than the standard GT. Ford claims 265 horsepower (versus 260) and "significantly more" torque than the GT's 302 lb-ft."
This came from some website, so I don't know how accurate it is. I don't know a ton about these cars, and that's why I'm asking. I have to give it to Ford for putting together several options on mustangs through the years. The mach 1s, bullitts, Cobras, GTs, Saleens, etc. I'm just waiting for GM to get back into the game(mainly because I can't afford a new C6, so I need the next thing down). I may have to just buy a last year T/A or Camaro SS to fill my need for speed. Of course, I could probably swing a 98-99 pewter vette. That would look GOOD sitting beside the truck in the driveway.
