bags anyone?ViEt-G20 06-30-2001, 05:11 PM yea does anyone know if it is possible to put bags on a 01? i really wanna do this so im saving up.. but is it possible G-Forces 06-30-2001, 06:12 PM I don't know what bags are but with enough money anything is possible. b-b00gie 06-30-2001, 06:35 PM Jason, I think he means air-bag suspension... viet, not sure, i know some of those setups are pretty wide. you might want to go somewhere they install them on a regular basis (where they've done cars like say civics, or accords... not just trucks) they will check out the suspenion and see if it will fit. primera man 06-30-2001, 10:32 PM Originally posted by b-b00gie Jason, I think he means air-bag suspension... ....are you meaning airshocks" ??? b-b00gie 07-01-2001, 02:12 AM not sure if air shocks are what we refer to as air-bag suspension here in the US... but basically instead of having a spring on the shocks, there is a bag with air in it... the more air, the higher the ride height.. this is all controlled on the fly via a control box and air compressor... primera man 07-01-2001, 03:49 AM Originally posted by b-b00gie not sure if air shocks are what we refer to as air-bag suspension here in the US... but basically instead of having a spring on the shocks, there is a bag with air in it... the more air, the higher the ride height.. this is all controlled on the fly via a control box and air compressor... Yeah its the same as what i'm thinking to. My view....wouldnt bother using them. With all the different springs/shocks that are on the market these days, you can get a really good set up without having to get air shocks. I had them on a car i owned years ago and they had to be the worse handling shocks you could ask for. The ride was that hard as there was hardly any give in them. nis.k.a. 07-05-2001, 02:09 PM NO NO NO NO.... He means airbag suspension, as in the alternative to hydraulics. They make air-struts, basically a strut with a bag in place of the spring. I'm sure they're available for the G20. You might want to call somebody to confirm. Also, the install would be a lot easier than a Honda, because Honda's have to have lateral support, thus using a totally different set-up from other cars. I know they do offer for uncommon Nissan's, so I don't see why they wouldn't offer them, also I think they can do a custom job for little money. Remember, you're going to need a bunch of space to mount the compressor and tank. But, install should be a total breeze. i_rebel 07-05-2001, 03:36 PM Check out: JGY Customs (http://www.jgycustoms.com) The photo of the P10 used for the background is of a car in VA with hydraulics . . . 10 switches. The owner is the same person that did the install . . . if anybody can do it, he can . . . and he will definately enjoy doing it. JGY Customs is the home of the only known G20 equipped with a DET, hydraulics, and 18 inch rims . . . quality work!!
