Re: Just got an 86

I'm not an expert on this engine...but I heard this 11,500rpm engine your talking about is really expensive, also expensive to maintain. If you ever saw Initial D second stage they even said it was expensive. In addition, the engines that people have, are from an ae111, it produces 160 hp stock. I'm not hear to argue or prove a point, just some fyi...Just research a little more before you get your hopes up...

Re: Just got an 86

The engine is probably a fully prepped 20V 4AGE. More to the point, most of the original people who posted on this question have left AF. It is from June, 2002.

JUst do a standard upgrade for the engine

You don't need that racing Engine .
You don't need 11000 rpm .
you don't need it at all !!!

Get the 0.8mm gesket set !
Get a Light wight Flywheel from "TODA"
Get a Adjustable Cam Pully "TODA or HKS"
Get a pair of High CaM IN/EX by TODA
Get the direct intake "filter less" kits
Port polish .........
use high octane fuel .......
get a cool Exsauht "racing piping system" .....
TODA valve spring and head set

Cut the rev speed limiter with any replacement or Ast ECU
This baby now Rev 8k+/-(toyota reduce the Rev speed to keep the engine life )

sure , if you willing pay more for the cooling system add-on for the engine , you can save the engine from any problem .........
