Re: injector spacer?

I did a search and found this on the jegs web site. This is an exacte quote off their site.

Jeg's TBI Fuel Injector Spacer

This spacer raises the injector housing 1/4'' above your throttle body and allows 15% more air flow into your engine. More air means more power!

Part # 555-15410 1986-95 4.3L/5.0L/5.7L Price $19.99

so do you think that the one for 12.95 works just as good?

Re: injector spacer?

Turbo City in Orange, California offers a similar spacer for more money. They also recommend a bowl you rivet to the bottom of your aircleaner (after you cout the bottom to a larger diameter).

I'm going to install the bowl but probably not the spacer as I just built a new 383 stroker engine with the Edelbrock TBI manifold. This manifold is exactly 1/4" taller than stock, so I think they built in this improvement.

Edelbrock says the manifold alone (no cam, chip, headers, etc.) is good for a 4% improvement in power or mileage. As much as I drive, this would pay for the $250 manifold in a couple of years!

TBI spacer...

I have a 1991 Olds Custom Cruiser with 305 TBI. I added an injector spacer, plus a 1" TB spacer, AND did a 'port job' on the TB barrels. I had the intake manifold off anyway, so figured what the heck. I did not notice a huge difference. However, a 305 in a 4500 lb. car is not EVER going to be a screamer. It didn't hurt, might have helped, didn't cost a lot.

E-Bay seems to be the place to get that kind of thing. Cheaper, BUT you have to make sure you know exactly what fits.

Happy Motoring!
