Question K&N recharge kit

i just bought a recharge kit for the filter on my K&N FIPK lastnight, i was just wondering, can I use this kit to clean my K&N cabin filter too? Maybe a stupid guestion, but i was just wondering

Re: K&N recharge kit

Be very careful to not over oil the air filter for the engine , i have heard of people oiling them too much and putting them on too soon right after not letting the oil dry and it has screwed up the MAF sensor, the oil gums up the little elements. When i am going to be doing mine , i am going to do it later on in the evening and let it sit over night to be sure the oil is good and dry and soaked in.

Re: K&N recharge kit

^ Same here....My quad and my truck Both have K&N Cone Filters, After I oil them I put them both on Cardboard in the boiler Room downstairs overnight, its nice and warm and gives the oil a chance to soak in. Remember to wipe away any excess.

Re: K&N recharge kit

yea, i plan on letting it sit overnight or even for the 24 hours like recomended. I could probly borrow my dads truck for the day.

But everyone will agree that it is safe to use the recharge kit on the cabin filters?

Re: K&N recharge kit

Oh for sure , i mean all the oil is there for is to trap the dust and dirt better. I will not hurt anything at all. Look at the filter , if it is pinkish like the oiled ones , then they were originally oiled from new (pre oiled).
