GA 2000 power mirror wiring

Passenger side power mirror is literally hanging by the wires. I have ordered another mirror but was wondering how to uninstal and reinstall the mirrors?

Re: GA 2000 power mirror wiring

You should be able to replace the broken mirror by removing the trim piece on the inside of the door. This will allow access to the mounting screws take off the old mounting hardware and follow the wiring back to where it plugs into the harness. Unplug and plug in the new wire harness. The door trim will have plastic plugs that insert in to holes in the door to hold it on there is a special tool to remove the plugs to get the door panel off. You may not have to remove the panel all of the way depending ao the route of the wires. Take your time and don't force the removal of the door panel too much and do it in a warm place if the plastic is too cold it may crack. If you have to let it warm up before removing the panel.
Good luck.
