Re: Doors rattling when driving, any clue??

Welcome to the forum Jodi and I have had a similiar problem in some of my GM vehicles and found it was caused from a loose window support this will give you a idea of how to adjust a grand am but is based off F-body http://shbox.com/1/adj_window.html . Good Luck.

Re: Doors rattling when driving, any clue??

I would also suggest checking out the door panels themselves. Sometimes the clips get broken off and screws go missing. Make sure that everything is secure. You can test this by yourself, but it helps to have a friend.
You'll first want to take a drive on a quite stretch of hiway. Drive until you hear the door rattle. Then push on the door panel (preferably the driver's side) with your leg or hand. You can have your friend do the same to the passenger side. If the rattles stop, then it is probably loose door panels. In that case get some new door panel clips and/or screws if any are missing. Also make sure all the screws are nice and tight.
If the rattling persists take the door panels off and check out the door pull/lock mechanism to make sure all the little plastic buffers are in place, and the rods are not hitting on the sheetmetal.
If you are hearing a rush of air along with the rattles, i would try John's advice. The bolts on the window might just need tightening up a bit. Don't over do it though.
