Alpine Question?

I have an alpine CHA-1214

It's the 12 disc one with CD naming and stuff.

Since it can remember 150 CDs... what happens when you get to 151?

will it "push out" the first CD?

will it say that the memory is full?

HELP??????

I'm asking only because I'm thinking about buying another changer and daisy-chaining them together.

does it read the encoded names that are on the CD when you buy it? or do you have to program the name? If you have to program the name, then the screen will say "memory ful". If it's the changer that decodes the ID3 tags, then it will just push the name out, but if you put the other CD in again, it will just remeber it agian. by the way you said, how it only holds 150 names, I'm guessing it's the kind where you program the name of the CD in.

yeah- holds 150 names...

i guess it will say memory full then.

crap.

guess that means buying a used one will always have you running the risk of possibly buying one with 149 names in it?

sucks.

you can erase the memory you know. there is probably a reset button on the unit that changes all the settings (including the names) back to default. On my head unit I have the one where you can program names in, and all I have to do is unplug the battery and all thr names of my cd's get erased.
