in need of an engine..
anyone got a spare ka24e or ka24de they'd like to get rid of ... my engine went to crap... and i need a new one... like to have under 120k miles.. 5speed... i've called about 20 yunk yards in washington and idaho state and only 1 had any 240sx engine... they wanted $500 for a ka24e with over 100k miles... so this kinda sucks... just checkin to see if anyone has one.... post, or email me, doesn't matter. lrb_2000@hotmail.com

Re: in need of an engine..
500$ is a good price for a whole engine, it's like you're ganna find one for 100$, and mileage doesn't matter, just check compression, as long as then engine is in good shape.

Re: in need of an engine..
it was just the engine... no tranny... nothing.. but yeah... i'd have to give him my old engine too... I kind of want to keep that... just for spare parts and such..

Re: in need of an engine..
shit dude, i have 150k on my old motor, thats still sitting in my wrecked car, and it runs like a freakin champ. i just want to get rid of the whole thing as one though, id take $400 for the whole car.... it has good tires, brand new ceramic brakes, good interior (couple rips in the seat but the dash has no cracks at all) and its a 5sp, comes with the tranny and everything.. i thought it was a pretty good deal actually, the only thing is, is the front end is rough, the subframe is bent, and the radiator is cracked, but the wreck didnt hurt the engine at all, it started right up after the wreck (of course i didnt run it for more than 10 sec or so). but if you want to buy the whole thing for $400 its yours.

Re: in need of an engine..
I would like to correct the person saying over $350 for any KA is a rip off. I bought an engine about a month ago now from a local junk yard. 1997 240sx They sold me the engine for $600+$100core. My new KA24DE only had 1,652miles on it at time of purchase. Never even saw it's first oil change. And yes I saw the car it came out of and compaired both vin numbers cause I didn't believe it either. Put it in my car and ran PERFECT no studder no nothing. Have pics of under the valve cover and inside the engine looking through the oil pan if anyone is interested in what a Factory engine w/ 1,600 miles on it looks like.

Re: in need of an engine..
