Re: best wax for black

First off if you have already waxed the truck you need to remove the existing wax prior to attempting to get rid of the swirl marks. I owned a black truck for about four years so i am speaking from expierence. I would say go to a body shop supply store and ask then for a product called GON (that is the correct spelling) it works great, it is used for stripping off wax just be sure you follow the instructions. Once the wax is off i suggest a product called safe cut swirl and haze remover made by the wax shop http://www.autobarn.net/turws3.html Apply and remove that product as per instructions as well , then the next step is to use a product called super glaze also by the wax shop http://www.autobarn.net/turws1.html If you do a really good job on the step with the swirl and haze remover, once done with the super glaze, the results will be amazing.

I use Zaino on all my vehicles. It is almost effortless and you get an awesome shine.

Clay bar works real good removing old wax and contaminants.

Re: best wax for black

When you apply the wax, do it in straight lines and not swirls, and when you remove it, do the same thing. There wont be any swirl marks if you do this.

Now, as for what wax to use: 'Turtle Wax Color Cure' in Black of course. It will turn your hands and rags black, but you can't beat the way it makes a black vehicle look.

Re: best wax for black

I've had very good results with meguiars products. I use the cleaner then polish and then wax. Has worked well on a several different color vehicles; black being one of them. It is time consuming but well worth the effort when done.

Yes, I like the 3-step Meguiar's as well. Its not a bad job when you have someone to help ya, but when you have to do it yourself, it will def. take awhile.
