Re: 95 Camry troubles
This very thing happened to a friend of mine. He chugged into a gas station and the guy gently tapped the EGR valve with a screwdriver handle.
The bugger immediately freed up! Next time it acts up, whyn'tcha try this!
car was having fuel pump problems. Well that is apparently not the case. I changed the fuel pump this weekend and I still have the problem. It will sometimes start and immediately die. I've noticed that I have this problem only after I've driven around town for a while. If I put my foot on the gas it will run. After that, it will start to idle rough and after about 15 seconds, start to run fine. It may not do it again for a week, month or it may do it again the next day, but it only happens at start-up. The check engine light works, but it is not on. Nor can I detect an engine miss. It runs fine in traffiic and idles at stops without fail. It performs quite well. But have noticed a tiny bit of hesitation in the idle on cold mornings. But it goes to normal after about 20 seconds.
That fuel pump that I didn't need cost a grip. No more guess work. In the meantime I'd like to know what you Yota techs think.[/quote]
