whooping some ass then got embarresed!Ghost96Gt 02-14-2005, 05:43 PM so i was on my way home from a soccer game. Dad driving my black 96 stang gt i am ridding shotty and my friend is in the back. driving on 146 which is a 2 lane road kinda back road highway. its about a 30 mile strech speed limit 55 mph. theres alot of passing zones and straightaways some spaning more then a mile. So my dad like to drive 70 to 75 mph and we passed about 8 cars on the way. so we passed a sebring convt. and it ended up being a player on my team and his dad. so when we pass him he catchs back up and he follows behind at about 80 mph we then turn left and proced up a inclineing on ramp to the highway 2 lane each side very open rarly cops. so we go alone messing around having fun come up to a stop light turns red. turns green we are in 1st next to him running up to 4500 rpms when the sebring hits it my dad proceds shifts at 5500 not flooring it yet just pacing him then after we run half way though 2ed my dad puts it down and we start to walk away when he shifts to 3rd we start walking faster(the sebring is still on it) then i look back and see these beautiful xeon lights and i was like wait a sec dads floored car behind us is on are bumber my dad goes from :grinyes: to :sly: what the hell! he turns his blinker on and move over starts letting off and this car just comes hauling by the driver gots a huge grin on his face and the wife is :grinyes:. then i see the bumber its a AUDI RS6 HOLY SHIT!!! i have never seen one and it pulled away like we were sitting still guess 450 tt hp does that huh! i was just amazed:cwm27:. my dad turns to me and says how much does the twin turbo kit u want cost. lol it was good times street_racer_00 02-14-2005, 05:48 PM That's bad ass...good to hear about somone driving those things the way they should be driven. ricesucks 02-14-2005, 05:53 PM theres twin turbo kits for GT's? Anyways, cool story PWRDbyUNCLEbens 02-14-2005, 06:04 PM Nothing bonds a parent and child like illegal street racing. Sounds like you guys had a great time, I don't mind being beaten by badass cars. DetroitMuscle15 02-14-2005, 06:06 PM damn those RS6's are pretty fast...I think they go 0-60 in 5.2s which isnt bad at all but they got mad torque as you would expect from a twin turboed engine...Is your Mustang GT stock? dampachi 02-14-2005, 06:15 PM Amen, PWRD. And dude..0-60 in 5.2 seconds is awful for a 450hp car. Stock 99+ GT mustangs go 0-60 in mid 5s. -The Stig- 02-14-2005, 06:31 PM Amen, PWRD. And dude..0-60 in 5.2 seconds is awful for a 450hp car. Stock 99+ GT mustangs go 0-60 in mid 5s. You've also got to remember how much weight it must be pushing, plus those types of cars aren't 1/4 mile monsters. Designed to be Autobahn cruisers. Freeways are their domain. gti1689 02-14-2005, 06:35 PM detroitmuscle...you are an idiot. 5.2 seconds from 450hp?!?!?! Come on now! Try 4.3. Stop pulling numbers out of your ass, and misleading people. btw, u didn't keep up with a gti. here are the link: http://motortrend.com/roadtests/sedan/112_0309_axes/index5.html 0-60 in 4.3 http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=15&article_id=6567&page_number=5 0-60 in 4.4 dampachi 02-14-2005, 06:46 PM It may be alot of weight..but not that much to where 450hp is going to make it run a little bit faster than a 260hp car. And according to those links I am correct. :) PWRDbyUNCLEbens 02-14-2005, 06:58 PM It may be alot of weight..but not that much to where 450hp is going to make it run a little bit faster than a 260hp car. And according to those links I am correct. :) Edit: No by that link you are not correct Are you sure your not looking at the 0-70 specs cuz i can swear I see 4.3 seconds to 60. 5.2 for 450bhp in an awd audi pulling 5.3 0-60 you should know better. This is from the site gti put up Acceleration, sec 0-30 mph 1.4 0-40 mph 2.2 0-50 mph 3.2 0-60 mph 4.3 0-70 mph 5.3 0-80 mph 7.1 0-90 mph 8.8 0-100 mph 10.7 0-100-0 mph 15.2 1/4 mile, sec @ mph 12.63 @ 108.64 I've checked a few sites and all are mid 4 seconds to 60mph with the worst numbers being 4.8. dampachi 02-14-2005, 07:00 PM Yeah..why're you quoting me? -The Stig- 02-14-2005, 07:02 PM He's misread ya. dampachi 02-14-2005, 07:07 PM Apparently so. street_racer_00 02-14-2005, 07:19 PM Yeah....RS6's are definetly low 4 second cars, not low 5 second cars....450 hp+AWD, word. Ghost96Gt 02-15-2005, 11:01 AM yeah there monesters. No the gt is stock for the moment by this summer i should have a pi head swap with a new cam and intake maniford and hopefully magnapack cat back bbk turned shoty headers. i got a exhuast leak so ill pry change the headers first. yeah they make a tt kit for the mustang its from hp proformance and it packs some serious hp. hoping to make the baby a weekend driving car and a track car goals = 1,000 hp on race gas at full boost and in street trim running a 93 octance and pry 15 to 17 lbs of boost. i want the car to be like Mr. Hyde a autox and a drag car and mybe swap the gears and be a top speed car that would be fun as hell. mason_RsX 02-15-2005, 11:31 AM I know exactly how you feel about the RS6, I made a post last week about how one toyed with me, then dusted me...and I didn't have the RSX, I had the rents 05 Legacy...You never know exactly what it is till it passes you, and Im pretty sure if it did 60 in 5.2S It wouldn't have blown me out of the water like it did CassiesMan 02-15-2005, 02:37 PM track car goals = 1,000 hp on race gas at full boost I hope you have a good set of tires... CassiesMan 02-15-2005, 02:37 PM The S4 does a low five 0-60. The RS6...yeah, no. DetroitMuscle15 02-15-2005, 04:26 PM o0o0 my bad i i got it mixed up with the Audi S4..Damn iam an idiot....... dampachi 02-15-2005, 04:52 PM Sometimes I also enjoy stating the obvious, Detroit. Yes. You're an idiot. Ghost96Gt 02-15-2005, 05:30 PM well 1000 hp is on the track so dr's or slicks. street i will pry run g force ta tires or g force drs CamaroSSBoy346 02-15-2005, 08:13 PM where are you getting the PI heads? I've seen some on ebay for $300. I want a pair, but not for $300. I think I'll just wait untill the junkyard gets some PI Equipped cars. Hey, they had a 99+ Cadillic Catera there once..maybe i'll find a new exploder/mountainer/99+GT/New Interceptor/New FSeries there. Ghost96Gt 02-16-2005, 10:37 AM there is 3 ways i might go 1 is www.holcombmotorsports.com (http://www.holcombmotorsports.com/) has 4.6 pi heads complete with cams for 395 each and pi intake is 184 2 is junkyard 3 is more of a dream or a hope bc its more expensive patriot-performance.com has stage 3 pi heads that are: CNC ported 1.84/1.45 valves .600 springs bronze guides TI retainers 5 angle valve job for 1495 a pair so its alitte pricy but is a great set of heads. The cam i want is the comp cams extrem energy XE274H grind(SOHC-Hot street cam, 3.55-3.73 gears, 2000+ stall, computer upgrade recommended. Rough idle) or XE270AH (SOHC-Hot street cam, needs 3.55+ gears. 2000+ stall. Intake, exhaust, computer and spring upgrade recommended. Noticeable idle.) Camshaft Part #12-246-3DesignationXE274H-10Duration @ 0.006"274 / 286Duration @ 0.050"230 / 236Max Lift w/ 1.5RR 487 / .490Lobe Separation110Lobe ID#'s5445 / 5208 Intake Centerline106 fierangero 02-16-2005, 11:45 AM haha u wanna talk about expensive heads... racing head for my truck (2.3) is like 3 or 4k! from esslinger. one of the few performance parts for that engine. but its supposed to do miracles, since the performance bottleneck on that engine is the head design Ghost96Gt 02-16-2005, 04:29 PM yeah thats pretty pricy the 4v corba heads are in the 2s. are u going to get the heads for ur truck though? or u gonna do a motor swap? HighRev87 02-16-2005, 04:39 PM how do you plan on autox with the mustang? I mean, yes a mustang handles alot better then most people thing, but not that good. Your comparing yourself to hyde who has a very nimble mid engine car. It can be done, but alot would have to be put into it. Also, I dont think you will autocross with 1k horsepower. Thats asking for death. lamehonda 02-16-2005, 04:47 PM That's bad ass...good to hear about somone driving those things the way they should be driven. Yes, engaging full boost. Ghost96Gt 02-16-2005, 04:59 PM no i dont mean i want to be hyde i ment hyde does drag auto cross and hill climb i mean the same thing i want to do everything. i am planing on down the road buying the steeda 5 link 2 kit for my stang to help the whole handling thing. i plan on using this car as a project car for many years i want to keep it for atleast another 10 or so yrs.
