This is why I love my dad

I had surgery a couple days ago so Ive been out of commission and my dad was going to go up to the grocery store and he wanted to take my car because sometimes its fun to get in a quick light little car and give it hell. So he took it and when he got back he told me this story:
He was riding down the main road here its 4 lanes when some kids in an older(94ish) accord with a body kit and underbody glow lights and all that crap comes up beside him and start revving their engine and take off. So my dad being the great guy he is, dropped the si down into 2nd and he said he smoked them like there was no tomorow, he said he got up to about 120-125 then backed off and saw their car a good many car legnths back. God I love my dad!

my dad used to get people that wanted to race him all the time when he had his 2002 Mustang GT.. rarely did he back down.. dads are cool like that.

My dad is the same way. He owns a 3KGT and everytime someone tries to take off on him, he's like, "Oh yeah?" and then he floors it. His car is pretty damn quick. And he usually smokes most cars he comes across. Dads are studs. L8...

My dad drives a 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia, so all he brags about is how he can get way better gas mileage than me or my brother. Too bad his top speed is 40mph.

sounds like my dad, I tend to hide the keys. He keeps begging me for a drive.

I know not everyone knows their parents drive their cars and what not. Sometimes I think older guys with fast cars are to be feared, never know what they have.

Theres an old dude roaming the streets around here with a 500rwhp cobra. Gray hair and all. He's fucking nuts. He must run 10s. I raced him from a light once. I revved. He ROARED back at me and smiled. This was no ordinary smile. This was like..the grin of satan. The instant the light turned green he TOOK OFF. He must cut like...1.5 60fts or something..because god damn he moved out big time. And then again the next week..I was messing with him on a roll and there was a few cars on the road and he took off and like...weaved through them perfectly. Like..this was no crazy ricer running through traffic thing. All his lane changes were precise/safe/used his signal. I was so impressed.

The Vanagon Westfalia is the best vehicle to "get biz-zay" in. Raising top and two beds? Nothing can beat that.

My brother came into this world thanks to a Westfalia. :)

Seriously, drftk1d! We still have the old "Brummelt" Westfalia in our Ames storage lot. My brother was oddly attracted to it after he learned the awful truth...

my dad isnt like that at all... and he has an 87 grand national.... although, there was this expensive mercedes that he pulled up next to at a light, the thing took off hard, dad waited a few secs, and just flew by him...

the passenger(girlfriend?) asked him if he liked that car, of course he said yes.... but still it was funny...

But he's all about driving safe(no ticket in over 20 years) now, but ive heard some stories about his old triumph tr7(or tr6 cant remember) and his 69 gto.

And my mom is really bad, cant even accelerate moderatly anywhere or she will freak out, and she drives a ws6...

What is wrong with this picture???

Give her WS6 to me and I'll give her my old Cavalier.

It's official. The LS1 has sadly become a chicks car. Theres a female teacher at a catholic school around here who drives a black WS6. A fat girl with blue hair who could be no older than 17 drives a WS6 around here. I always see some hill billy looking woman driving a red 35th anniversary SS camaro. My friends sister just bought a blue LS1 Z28. Some girl who wanted to date mes mom had a WS6 she said I could drive if I dated her and I could have it if I married her. haha. And then theres all the other women I see driving them. Damn man. Oh well. I'd still love to get one. :)

SpeedDemon101
02-17-2005, 02:32 PM
you shouldve married her...

dampachi
02-17-2005, 02:35 PM
Yeah right. She wanted me to leave my girlfriend for her. Which wasn't going to happen. And besides...theres no way I could spend my life with some stupid girl just to have a trans am. I have a gt mustang and the best girlfriend ever. I'm happy. :)

BTW: The WS6 was an auto. Fuck that.

SpeedDemon101
02-17-2005, 02:44 PM
true that. i was just kidding...but there is a thing called divorce

Mister_Sinister

She probably would've made him sign a prenup.

SpeedDemon101
02-17-2005, 03:08 PM
yeah...definately not worth it, you probably couldve got a ws6 for what you paid for your gt anyways

Why the fuck is the prospect of an LS1 so fucking dominating? Is it so great that you'd give your left nut for one? Fuck no! What is so special about this car that you're all of a sudden going "hmmm, maybe" about getting one out of an ugly fat chick?!

Fuck Chevy and their LS1. There. I said it. I wouldn't be caught dead driving one of those abominations.

dampachi
02-17-2005, 03:32 PM
whoa...i never said the girl who wanted to date me was an ugly fat chick. she wasn't ugly nor fat. she just didn't have any personality. The LS1 is a beast. The end.

BTW: The LS1 was my first choice...but I couldn't find one that was in good condition for my price range. They all had 40,000+ miles on them.

Whoops, my bad. I just get riled sometimes. I read the wrong part. I dunno why I thought that the "Fat girl with blue hair" was the same chick you were talking about. My apologies. :)

So in order to get a "fast" car, you had to date a soulless husk? I guess you could go out with her and then kill her. Not like anyone would care... :evillol:

How much hp does that Mustang GT get? I got my ass smoked by a yellow GT when the Jetta was atx, and I've been fixated on them ever since. Does it push out at least 150hp at the front wheels? If so, I might look into getting one... :)

02-17-2005, 06:42 PM
^wow.

just wow.

did this guy seriously ask if a mustang pushed anything out the front wheels?

Aerowitz
02-17-2005, 08:08 PM
Well sor-ry! I'm practically retarded when it comes to knowledge on domestics, so you'll have to excuse my errors.

Just tell me, then, how much HP does it push out?

Ask me about imports, and that's a completely different story. :evillol:

dampachi
02-17-2005, 08:18 PM
It's rated at 260hp and 300tq.. But it puts down about 230rwhp and 270rwtq.

Aerowitz
02-17-2005, 08:22 PM
Damn, that beats my '88 RX-7 by 60rwhp! I just might have one in my driveway soon...

Thanks for the info.

It's a solid low 14 second car. It's not fast enough for me though. I'm looking into a blower. :) That's right highrev87! All hope isn't lost just yet!! :)

well actually my moms is a 97, so its an LT1, but it'll blow the doors off of any stock LS1...

And whats so bad about a woman driving a fast car. My 95 Z28 came from a middle aged woman that traded it in for a 02 SS i believe, with 80000 miles, had plenty power left. Drives like new, still great compression and everything. Besides for the interior(they never take care of this part) the car is almost perfect(at least it was)

thats an alfa romeo 164, came with a 3 liter v6 - 183 to 200 hp

the best alfa romeo is the montreal thogh.
