Today I had an idea. Instead of buying random good looking kits, I thought I should have a goal to aim for. So I decided that I will buy and build all the available 1/20 and 1/12 scale cars that ran in 1982 Formula 1 championship. Why 1982 you ask? Well, it's my year of birth

One of those cars is the Ferrari 126C2. I know that Revell AG reboxed Protar's kit, but I ran a search and couldn't find any good info on it.
So here I am asking for a little help. How is the quality (or lack of) of this kit? I found a couple on ebay.de @ €30 + shipping. Is it worth it?
On another note, yesterday I went to a model shop in another city and found a 1/8 Ferrari 643, by Rosso. They are asking €1500 ~ US$1900. I've been told it's a very rare kit, and quite good. Not up to today's standards, but good. The selling price when it originally came out was around US$500, so 4x the price, even for a rarity, seems pretty high.
I asked the guy to open the box, and I was shocked by the size of that thing. It's HUGE, and it's beautifully prepainted cowling is brilliant!
To be honest, I've never heard about Rosso kits before. I don't know if it is a fair price or it's just a rip-off.
What is your opinion about this?
Regards,
Pedro.
