Oddly enough, these truck radios including AM/FM receivers do have a separate tuner. There is a guy on ebay selling NOS ones and they fetch anywhere from $60-$100, which is much less than the price you would pay for a new one from the dealer. This site is taken from a previous thread on here, and it shows the tuner. Excellent site btw,

This started off to be just a quick, cheap conversion as listening to all oldies, or all news radio was getting to me. Hell, I'd even go for one of the "C-Quam" AM stereo radios they sold back then!
