Anyone tried a .12 or .15 to .21 or larger engine swap?

Just wondering who was insane enough to swap a .21 buggy/on-road engine into a 1/10 car. I always wanted to, but got rid of most of my nitro stuff before I could.

I may still try something a little freaky with my old, old Traxxas Hawk 2 and put my .40 Thunder Tiger plane engine in it(with a much larger heat-sink head, custom built of course). Aww yeah.

they have a .40 4 stroke car engine out now. Im not sure how it they perform, but from what i hear its performs really well in some of the T-maxx's.

I remember hearing about that, but I didnt think it made a mountain of power like the 2-stroke engines do, although it does make alot more torque. I could be wrong, seeing as how I havent looked through a current R/C Car Action for about a year or two. If I had the money I'd still buy one, just because a 4-stroke is cool.

If you do alot of on-road racing, torque is what you need to get from corner to corner, so the four stroke would be better. Horsepower is better for most off road coures because they usually dont have that many turns so u need the power for straightline speed so the 2 stroke will be better for that.
