97 golf seats

This is my second 97 Golf and the seats are junk in this one too. Is this a common problem or do I just seem to buy the cars off fat-ass people. I've had plenty of older golf/jettas and the seats were great, never worn out, even on my fathers diesle jetta with over 375K on it. Is there a common fix or just replace it? I mean this seat is completely clapped out with the metal bar jamming right into my leg. This suck! Help!

VR6s maybe

I've never heard of anyone having problems with mk3 (or any VW) seats honestely .. and mine are fine.

Shouldn't be too hard to find some replacements at a junk yard, or upgrade with someone swapping theirs for aftermarkets
