Re: sticky shifter

possible~~~~~~~`There may be a U-shaped retainer ring that holds knob to shaft, mini-screwdriver will pry that out, don't lose the damn thing, lol. Remove the console trim plate, if no visible screw attachers, by EASY upward pull, one corner at a time, work the trim plate up very nicely, don't horse it. Do this carefully, a wire harness is most likely attached to the plate, so as it lifts, look!!!!!!. Once up, disconnect the harness/plug, slide up the trim plate over the shaft, and jope that puts ya where ya need to be. Reverse the above to-reinstall.

Re: sticky shifter

yeah, there are clips you can't see, sort of pressure-spring type that hold the trim plate to the console. They don't release easy. If ya hesitant about it, check with parts-store, they may have a diagram avail. you can look at to visualize how to release the plate. I've only done this once, so I no real expert at it, but it was a bear to release the clips.

Re: sticky shifter

one other thing, pull the inside tray of your armrest console. You may see a small screw or bolt that holds the plate in.
