I just got this code in my intrepid, p 0551 It's the Power steering switch failure.Ive looked all around the power steering pump and lines, but I cant find the switch? Cand some one please tell me where I might find the Power steering switch, Thanks Doug

The power steering switch monitors high steering pressures and tells the PCM that your pump is generating high pressure, so up the idle so that the motor doesn't lag during parking procedures. When you open up the hood, look behind the power steering pump pulley, and you'll see it. If you don't see it there, check anywhere between the rack and the pump, it'll be mounted somewhere along that line on the pressure side.

All 98-04 Intrepids, either a 2.7 or 3.2/3.5 use a power steering switch.
