92 cav stalls in drive not in neutral

Well i changed the fuel filter 4 days ago cause i was getting jerking and hesitation in the engine i thought maybe i was starving the fuel cause the filter has probably never been changed in 5 years well it still wants to stall out at a light. it seems as though if i drive the car constantly for 40-50min when i slow down for a light it will jerk and shake then stall out at the light but if i drop it in neutral(automatic btw)it wont stall out i just have to put in in drive and hit the gas real quick. Any suggestions?

Unplug the Tcc solenoid. It is located on the lower right front-side of the engine. If unplugging it fixes your problem, then it needs to be replaced. (though you can drive it without at the cost of more gas) Apparently it's no treat to replace, as it has to do with the transmission.
