Dependable,mid-sized,4 door,RWD carspeedycat 02-09-2005, 08:11 PM Looking for advice on a car for my slightly elderly mother to drive. Most be highly dependable, mid/economy sized, rear-wheel drive, 4 door, automatic,GM car or wagon, basic equpped, easy to work on. I know we may have to go for an older model. Does anyone have any suggestions of what we can look for??? molehole 02-11-2005, 08:03 PM re you looking to go into the 80's? Gm really has not built a RWD vehicle recently. Are you sure you want her in a RWD? You may want to look into a Bonneville, or a Late model Malibu . A highly reliable car is the GEO/Chevy Prizm. They have the Toyota engines and they run for ever with very few problems. speedycat 02-15-2005, 10:37 AM Thanks everybody. I've decided to go for a mid-80s Caprice v6.
