Recently the check engine light came on, so I went to get a diagnostic. Reports came back saying cylinder misfire, and they recommend chaning out the spark plugs and wires. I put in brand new spark plug & wires but there was no improvmenet what so ever. I asked around and people said it might be my fuel filter. So I buy a new fuel filter and have it installed but it starts to leak through one of the tubes like if there was some back pressure on it. I also seem to get very low gas mileage, like maybe 8 to the gallon. When i accelerate there seems to be some rattling sound within the engine. I am to my wits end on how to repair this. You think it can be my o2 sensor?? The car also seems to stall but doesnt completely, I would step on the gas, it starts to rev but the car doesnt move any, then after a few seconds, it starts to accelerate real slow.

ANY SUGGESTIONS/SOLUTIONS?

ANY REASON WHY A FUEL FILTER WOULD LEAK/??

It sounds like you dont have the connections on quite right, on the filter....and for your gas milage, your O2 sensors should be changed out at 100000 miles, you will notice a big difference in gas milage...the misfire could be a coil pack...good luck
