Where do I locate sensor for the ecomy light on my 1999 Sportage?

mmmm..not exactly sure I'm answering your question....are you talking of the power/economy button and the light tht goes with it? This button just gives a command to the transmission "logic" telling it to shift gears ar a higher RPM when in "power" mode. The "economy" mode is just the "non power" option, shifts at a lower RPM....and of course, I'd like it to check somewhat for some "economy" cause the little truck is burns more fuel than my 3800 pontiac transport in any mode, but it does not know better...and they Sporty are all like that. Too bad....
