Best *cheap AWD* car?
I'm looking at buying my next car i want a AWD for handling and takeoff. The car is giong to be used Probably under 10k turbo or not doesn't matter i can put one on later. SO let the suggestions begin. So far under 10k all i have is a imprenza rs and nissian pulsar GTI-R. also could consider cars that can have AWD engine/tranny conversions.

Re: Best *cheap AWD* car?
You can get GTiR's in the states? Never knew that.
Either way your pretty much limited to a Subie or a DSM by the sounds of it, and Audi A4 quattro may or may not be in your reach (This is the original A4 I am reffering to (I can get a 1998-ish 1.8T Quattro over here for about $10k, not sure about where you are)

If u want i get u in touch with the company that had the GTiR i wanted they told me they can get more. I'd love to get my hadns on a evo 4/5/6 does nebody know how much that would run me in U.S. Also i know fords rally focus is awd to they make a kit for this? So far i'd have to say a steatlh TT with vr4 front end, subie, Talon.

Re: Best *cheap AWD* car?
Celica All Trac was the USDM model...in Japan it was called the Celica GT4 and it received a lil more HP than here...at least in the 2nd gen form...(240hp vs. 200hp)
Here are some street cars that are AWD or rally worthy according to www.bensrallypage.com
http://www.rallyclassified.com/index.php?cat=7
Some are US road legal, some are not...but they are all in North Am.
If you want the rest of the car listings here you are:

Does nebody know who makes a turbo kit for that car or generation. Most turbo kits i see are for the 2002 wrx turbos.

Re: Best *cheap AWD* car?
Dunno, but my vote goes to a used Subie, a DSM or a Celica All-Trac Turbo

If you dont mind a truck theres always the syclone/typhoon twins. Those hover right around 10k.
