cel
check engine light came on when i turned 50,000 miles on my 2001 rodeo. is this a factory thing to bring in for ibspection or something?

nope it is not factory. Head to autozone to get it read for free.
Most comon cause for CEL is a loose gas cap.
Pull the neg terminal off the battery for about 15 mins and see if the CEL comes back.
