Re: help me

I take it that you charged the battery & the engine granks, but won't start. 2 1/2 years is to long for the fuel to last, you'll have to drain the system & put in new gas before going on.

Yes, Boschmann is correct... All petroliate products separate after about 3-6 months. So two years I am willing to bet my 84 GTI that the fuel is bad and you may even posibly have water in the system. Also, since it has sat so long, it quite posibly doesn't have any fuel in the lines... you need to keep cranking til it gets in the lines. Fuel filter could be clogged, and even maybe the fuel pump has given up... Have someone turn the key while you are under the passenger side just next to the rear tire and see if you hear the fuel pump working. Should make a nice wine noise if it is working.

well i tryed it and my brother could hear something coming from the fuel pump but it still wont turn over.i put new gas in it and got nuttin.
so my brother took the fuel pump out and tested it(he put 1 end in gas and hooked it up to a 12v batter and it didnt pump any thing out)
so i am gessing that the fuel pump is "Toast"

most likely american

Most likely it is American... they aren't too far off... maybe a couple % of a cent. It isn't like exchanging American to European or anything.
