Saturn Relay

Does anybody else think the new Saturn Relay looks like it could have been the next re-designed Venture? I saw one in a parking lot this afternoon and had to take a double take when I saw it. It looks neat. I'm going to wait and see what track record this vehicle has for reliability and problems, and who knows that might be my replacement vehicle when it comes time to replace my Venture. At least it doesn't have the problem plagued 3.4 engine.

Re: Saturn Relay

Well no wonder the Relay looks familiar. It shares similar sheetmetal and other looks with the new Chevy Uplander! Did not realize this before, but was doing some online research and found out that info. Can't wait to test drive one. From what I've read, they really have improved upon the Venture, in the next generation/ re-design.

Wondering about the Relay legroom

We are also looking at the Relay and Uplander...the Venture is getting tight for the 4 kids. As they grow the leg room isn't there and jumping over seats is getting old (I should remove a seat). Do you think that the Uplander/Relay is a good fit. Need AWD and EXT version (too many sports!)

Re: Saturn Relay

Do they have more interior room? They're basically just redesigned Venture/Montana/Sillhouettes.

Re: Saturn Relay

One way to find a possible answer as to whether the Uplander/Relay is bigger would be to compare the dealer sales brochures for each vehicle. I have seen dimensions listed in some brochures for cargo space and they usually list the legroom/headroom space. The Uplander/Relay appear to be larger but it could just be in the way it is re-styled. I did hear that GM wanted to change these vans to make them more family friendly along with the family lifestyles of today,( sports, hobbies.) That is why they (GM) is trying to get away from the minivan image in place of a more sport/utilitarian image to lure more buyers who really don't want a "minivan".Maybe in the process of redesign they added more space to meet our "lifestyles."
