Code Readeramigo-2k 02-02-2005, 11:14 PM I found this deal at Gottadeal.com 209.99 for the reader http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00020BM2S/ref%3Dnosim/101081219797-20/103-8970656-0234251 25 dollar coupon: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/feature/-/552145/103-8970656-0234251 I know nothing about this reader, and I know there are other ones out there too that cost between 40-125. This is a must have for all DIY'ers -Ryan txsoulfly 02-03-2005, 12:34 AM Looks like the type Autozone stores use. I use the CarChip E/X. Though this one does not have the digital display (must use a pc/laptop), but it pulls codes and monitors several items. I think I bought it on ebay for under $100. :2cents: Nice find though. Never would have thought to shop with Amazon. :bigthumb: highlandlake 02-03-2005, 08:15 AM I've been using an Actron code reader for a couple years. Bought it at NAPA auto parts for $150. It's been fantastic and I would recommend to anyone. Since then the prices seem to have come down - I saw a newer model one at a chain parts store on sale for $99. I agree with Ryan - any one of these readers are a must have. It's good for getting bonus points with your neighbors and co-workers when you can tell them why the 'check engine' light is on, or if their thermostat is working at the right temp. The model I have will display many parameters including vehicle speed, coolant temp and dozens of real time data when you are driving around. Almost as fun as a kid's toy! iskiuskiweski 02-03-2005, 09:04 AM This is the one they use a Advanced Auto Parts as well, I have borrowed it a couple times and it works good on the Rodeo. I am not sure if they all do it but it also provides and explination of the code, as well as the code it's self. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
