Is it possible to drop a 13b or 20b into an 88 mx6 gt turboD2K4Tuning 02-02-2005, 07:32 PM I am 15 and am wondering if it's possible to swap a 13b or 20b into a 1988 mazda mx-6 gt turbo. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.:) drdisque 02-02-2005, 11:28 PM i'm not aware of any FWD trans that will bolt to a mazda rotary and converting the car to RWD would be a bitch. Moppie 02-02-2005, 11:45 PM i'm not aware of any FWD trans that will bolt to a mazda rotary and converting the car to RWD would be a bitch. I just saw a FWD Mazda 323 Wagon with a rotary in it. Iv also seen a Mini with one in it. The 12a or 13b are short enough that they will fit easily into a transverse setup, the 20b would be to long. All you need to do is custom build some mounts and an adaptor plate for the gearbox. D2K4Tuning 02-03-2005, 04:24 PM Thanks for the info. BTW, how much would it cost to build some custom mounts and adaptor plate? clawhammer 02-05-2005, 12:46 AM I would say $70/hour, who knows how long it would take tem. These swaps can be very expensive if done by a shop, only begin something this major if you know a LOT about cars. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
