Blazer transfer case questions

Anybody have any clues to any of the following??

I see where some S10 Blazers have the same NP231 (just a letter difference at the end) transfer cases as JEEP Cherokees.

1. Is all the internals the same??

2. Are the mounts the same??

3. What components would I have to switch in oreder to do a swap??

Thanks

Re: Blazer transfer case questions

Your best bet is contact Advanced Adaptors, and they know all that stuff, plus they have kits for the comon swaps.

As far as I know the cases, and internals are the same, but I'm certian that both the input, and output shafts are different.

If you want to do a swap I'd seriously just take the entire chevy drivetrain (if that'a what you want) and put it in the jeep. It's easier, and more reliable than messing around with adaptors.
You'd have to get the mounts made up, which any welder can do. Plus if you run fuel injected you'd have to use the chevy under hood wire harness. You might want to use the full chevy wire harness, then it's easier in the future when it comes to repairing anything.
