Re: Voting for moderator?

Sorry to anyone who wasn't happy with there choice but Mods don't normally get appointed just by a poll thread or by member votes although less than a handful have gotten nominated this way hardly any have gotten mod status not that I am so special or anything but I have been around here for a year(in 2 days anyway) and for the most part have helped as many people with car related problems as I possibly can and have tried to use good judgement and bash no one. ALthough I have had my bad day and not always done my best. I tried and any member that has been here for any length of time and shows he/she is trying to help his fellow member and not bashing anyone I will nominate in the mods corner myself with copy's of his or her post's. No need for votes or polls cause they are frowned and not usually the way a member becomes a mod anyway. but just read what Hypsi had to say about it. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=354475 .

John

P.S. - I am not the almighty OZ, So if anyone has any suggestions as of changes they would like to see made to this forum to better help its members I would like to hear them please PM me. Like I have said before and still believe it this is everyone's forum and will try and make it to serve everyone.

Thanks Silver, I appreciate it. At least I know now that one of you guys was pulling for me. JK. Well I hope to do a good job at it and if I am not being fair. I want to know about it.
Thanks

Re: Voting for moderator?

gosh what do ya get for being a mod anyway, like a paycheck?
Im glad to see fomula get it ,sorry i didnt vote wouldve and was gonna vote but to late,
whats the deal anyway, why all the threats?
ban you for this ban you for that?
its a forum right, we can gripe, plug each other
but kinda get used to talking to these folks .
I would think yall would be glad to get more and more posts ,so slack off with the threats ,it is after all
a forum
and by the way I really think some folks can learn
from this guy , formula anyway, he seems not to be to stuck on attitude like some i see on here

Re: Voting for moderator?

What threats? And no I don't get a pay check. The only reason any of you have to worry about banning is if you don't follow AF guidlines and even then I am a strong believer in warnings but if you go too far with person attacks on fellow members on a repeated basis it will buy you a vacation but I don't see that being a problem with any of our current members. Also thanks for your belated vote Thumpr.
