87 iroc help
I finally got it registered thursday(insurance sucks here is boston, ma) and to it for a spin yesterday(would of drove it early than that, but i needed to replaced the alternator, which i did saturday). So i was driving it around, test driving it to whats up, and after awhile it just stalls. Now i didn't give it a full tune-up yet, which i'm hoping thats the problem(don't know what the sparkplugs look like) but i was wondering if there are any other solutions to this aswell. It runs fine but it just wants to stall, i was also thinking maybe it the fuel delivery, i'm just not sure...

Re: 87 iroc help
when it stalls, does it turn back on or do you struggle to start it back up? because i was just reading another thread and it came to my head that it could be that you have a broken hose line and your car could idle low and then just die out

It starts right up fine, no problem there. Just after it starts, i rev it alittle and as soon as i let off the gas it stalls. My first problem was the alternator wasn't charging the battery, fix that problem, and now this. Man i love chevys.

Re: 87 iroc help
I doubt its as easy as a tune up...Although that won'tr hurt...
Have you checked to make sure you have all good vacume hoses? (No leaks there?)

Yeah it's fuel injected, (TPI i assume is fuel injected) i didn't checked the vacuum hoses which the guy i bought from said need to get done up. I also have any exhaust leak near the catalytic, which could probably add to the problem. it will idle for a while then stall. And everytime after that, starts up no problem just let off the gas and it stalls.

Re: 87 iroc help
well i said your car wasnt fuel injected so im WRONG! but yeah i saw that you "assume" its fuel injected, you should probably take it down to a shop and get them too look at it once and for all
