D15b2 TBI to D16A6 MPFI
I am just wondering if anyone knows anyone or has swapped out there old D15b2 TBI to the D16A6 MPFI. I know that Import tuner did a article but I did not get to read it. If anyone has a copy could you possibly email the vitals of what is needed and how much of a HP gain it does give if known.
thanks in advance. sorry for the long post.

I asked the same question and didnt get very many replies. I know it's a big pain in the A$$ because you have to switch it from carb to fuel injection. It's gonna take alot of time and money to do the swap and it probably wont be worth it in the end.

Sports Compact did an article on it this month.. Check up on it. They have the entire how to in there.. What parts you'll need ane everything. They state that it shouldn't take more than a few hours to complete.

my friend has a D16A6 in his 90 civic sedan, it's a strong motor. runs good. I dont know if you'd want to do that swap though. there is a notice in power gain, but go with a B16.

Super..
He's not talking about swapping the engine, he's talking about swapping the intake manifold that the multi-port fuel injection system is mounted to so that he can have more efficient use of gas.

It's actually June's Sport's Compact Car.. with the RSX's on the cover. The article is on page 257, entitled "Hybrid How-To: Honda Dual-Point to Multi-Point EFI Converstion".
Happy reading. :-D

You're miss understanding the swap. You're not swapping the entire engine. The D16 has more horse because of higher displacment. A 1.6 litre engine. The engine could have 10 more horse, but the fuel injection system is not the single component that gives it this advantage.
All the multi-port has over the dual port fuel injection system is the efficiency of a sequential injection system.
