i really hated the light output from my.....headlights...
even though they were the highest output available.
so i saw the new advertisment for the sylvania silver star series and said...
wow that is somethin to look into.........
so...i went to autozone....and picked up a pair...
there not cheap......cost me almost $40
but OMG there sweet!!!!!
they produce white light...(HID)
and are nearly as bright as those systems on highend vehicals!!!!
i can now see 4x further and clearer(distance)
better on the sides to........
also whats great is the white light doesnt get drowned out by those street lights..........
so if you want better lighting at night....dont hesitate....go get em...
being able to see better in the dark is worth every penny...where i drive.
not to mention.....the white light looks SWEET!!!!
and there sylvania quality....not some off brand crap that last for a few months..............

and did i mention..........they L( O) (O )K SWEET!!!!!!!

yeah I got those on my 2000, $86.00 for the sylvania (i have two bulbs each side) but can definitely notice a difference (volt meter goes down to 14 when running all 4 bulbs at once)

I got those on my 97. I love em too. But now that i have a wrecked front end. I think im gonna spend the extra money and get a HID conversion kit. Ebay has them for Cheaper.

if you go to a hid kit........do you need to get a higher output alternator? etc......
i would think so but.....not shure......

No, you don't need a higher output alternator. The ignition charge is kept in the ballast and at normal working they don't really eat up much more than a regular bulb.
