Top Gun
I'm looking for any information about an S-10 Model called "Top Gun" (1989) Any one with pictures? Did this vehicle come with a V-8? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Top Gun
Never heard of it, but I'm sure that Chevy never put a factory V8 in an S-10.
Since I can't find any on Google I really don't think that it's a factory built truck, but I might be wrong

Re: Top Gun
Might have been a prototype, but it never made production.

Re: Top Gun
What I'm thinking is it might be an aftermarket production company.... kinda like the Shelby Mustang that never made it very far

Did GM put V-6's in the S-10? My son has bought an S-10 and thinks that the engine might be a 4.7 liter 6. I'm not familiar with S-10's and what kind of power trains were available.

Re: Top Gun
I know this is 2 years old but.....a friend in highschool bought one new.... it was a package put on by choo choo customs. the one he bought had a 4cyl. The top gun package was bassically a ground effects package, custom grill and some topgun emblems. He still has the truck in his backyard...it's a 89 model.

Re: Top Gun
Thanks for the info. Any pictures? This truck, owned by my son, unfortunately, was hit when parked on the front street, by a stolen vehicle in the beginning of Oct. 06. The insurance company wrote it off. The body was fine (except for two of the rear panels) but the car hit the tire which in turn broke the spring and bent the frame. It looked and ran great. A sad ending.

Re: Top Gun
The 1989 Top Gun S10 Blazer was only made in 89...there were 100 produced...they were GM customized vehicles...Offered in both 2WD & 4WD...and only two color schemes, blue with silver trim and silver with blue trim.
