To get to the motor,pull the kick panel and unbolt the motor (three screws). Pull the motor out, don't lose the rubber drain hose. Turn the motor upside down and apply some grease to the bottom of the shaft. Don't use WD-40, it's too thin. Others have also used regular motor oil to lube, I used some White lithium Spray Grease to make sure it holds. Then re-install, making sure you put the drain hose in place properly.
