Squeaky suspension

Any way of fixing this. It squeaks of course any time weight is put on the van, going in a pothole, you know. I asked a mech if that might be the shocks or suspension and he said no it is the suspension. He said water gets in there and makes it noisy like that after time. He said it is all "tight" up there so anyone have a trick to make my van quiet again? Thanks.

There are a lot of possibilities but usually a squeaking front end when going over speed bumps and or potholes is due to a dry or drying out strut cartrige (similar to telescopic shock). If it is acompanied by clunks it could be the bushing in the front suspension carriage--a know windstar weak point.

Other possibilites are dry tie rod ends on the steering rack but I would guess the strut first.

Is the squeak from the left, right or both?

thanks for responding, it is coming from both sides, and when I lean on the step on the side to put the baby in it makes that noise then as well, and when leaning/sitting on the back. Now I do hear on occasion a bump, and feel one when accelerating, but not always. So I asked about that and that is when the mech said everything was tight. I read that it could be the halfshaft causing the bump, but I don't know. Th only thing I do know is that it isn't the cv joints, but from there you got me.
