exhaust

okaY guys another question... i have a 98 s-10 with a 2.2 and currently right now i have just a glass pack on it.. im getting tired of people saying it sounds like a rice burner... which i dont think it does.. i have a limited budget and am not really looking to get exhaust but what would you guys reccomend for it to make it deeper..i know a guy that has a ranger with the 2.3 and he has some type of exhaust the makes it really really deep sounding

Re: exhaust

if you like it See what the ranger owner has on his truck.
If you think about it glasspacks are the choice of so many classic hotrodders because of their sound... so it's probably not the muffler that needs replacing.

Try giving it a good tune up, add a better breathing intake system, and then see if your happier. And don't worry about what others think, your the one that has to drive the truck.

Duel's would really make it sound wimpy, the small motor just can't push enough air through them to sound tough.

Yip, run a Ravin Z33 or Z55 like he said.

And DON'T go with flowmasters. They are really restrictive muffler that choke performance more than even the stock.

And for the love of god, don't put dual mufflers on a friggin 4 banger.
