spark plug replacementmarcom13 01-25-2005, 02:52 AM Hey all you wrench heads--30 years ago I could rebuild an engine from top to bottom. Today, I'm lucky I can change the oil but I don't like not doing for myself soooo- How the hell do I get the plug wire loose to get at the spark plugs. What is on the top of the plugs and can I ruin anything while changing the plugs? Also, should I used anti-sieze goop on the new plugs? I'm still not getting very good mileage so I figure the plugs are next. I just used BG44K in my tank will see if this helps. Thanks for your help past and hopefully future. This group rocks--big time Brian R. 01-25-2005, 11:41 PM What engine do you have? marcom13 01-26-2005, 05:56 AM Brian, I have the 3.4L v-6 engine with a 5 spd manual tranny also equiped with Trd package, electric locker, 4x4. I hope this info helps, I'm only getting 15 mpg and its getting to where I can't afford to drive it. Thanks for any help I can get. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
