1997 Venture Speedometer

The speedometer and Shift/doorlock interlock (doors lock when you shift from park) both stopped working at the same time. Is there a common point for these two that could be the problem?

Re: 1997 Venture Speedometer

I'm not sure if the two problems are inter-related but there is a section in your owner's manual on resetting the timing of the door locks to the shifting from park. It is fairly easy to do and there are other settings that you can do that change when your doors lock, or not. If you need the instructions, I can post them here tomorrow. One of my Ventures constantly had this problem where the setting for when the doors locked would stop working and I would have to re-set it. My other Venture hasn't had this problem, (same year.)
