hey everyone im new to the forums im about to buy a 1994 eagle talon es but it has a tsi body kit and tsi engine in it the guy just got the axle fixed and the guy is selling it for 400 dollars i thinks thats good im gonna check it out tommorrow to c if theres nething wrong with it im 15 just got my permit too

o man ok guys u probally sawin the first post im 15 well my mom wants it to get safety inspected well my friend has connections so he can put a safety inspenction sticker on there so when my mom coems look at it so she can call the safety inspenction people shey'll see that sticker and not call them but umm will the talon still pas this is the only problem(s) to it no weatherstripping on the sunroof but i dotn no if that matters a little crakc in the window last tiem my friend check it had no muffler but that was a year ago so i dont if it has one now ill check tommorrow when i go look at it

Sounds like the car is in fairly shitty condition.

Definately shop around before you make your decision, depending on how much mon ey you have to spend.

hey guys found out it doesnt have a tsi engine in it found out to that it will pass inspection but if i put a turbo chrger in it how big can i go without killing the engine

not very big.. the ESi can't handle as much boost as the TSi without beefing up the internals.

how many miles? $400...could be a killer deal or a dud...usually no middle ground. also, you may want to be careful about buying something that has been turboed if your into legal stuff... the guy who bought my 4g64 spyder turboed it. a cop stopped him to give him a speeding ticket and saw on the registration that is was a GS and not a gST....made him take everything off again.....

like what size of a turbocharger can i put into it when i looked at it it was lowered alot but when i looked at it yesterday it didnt looked lowered b/c the grass was covering the gap but when i opened the door that seat was really low

you gotta give us exact details on the car before we can tell you engine stuff. is it a 1.8 NT or a 2.0 NT? from what you've said so far the cars pretty crappy. definately do all the maintence first then worry about turboing it. if you dont do the maintence chances are you're just gonna kill the motor one way or another.

2.0 nt there was a turbo in there but he took it out 1994 eagle talon es i wanted a tsi but o well

i definately would be avoiding it if i were you. its never good to get somebody elses project car. especially if they stripped it to sell it. since you're new to dsm's i would look for a stock car. definately not one that someobody modded then stripped.

Definately get a stock car. If he turbo'd it, it probably means he ran it hard and beat on that engine. The car sounds like it's in terrible shape. I would definately NOT buy it.

no it not in bad shape my friend hes really good on cars he says that there nothing wrong with the engine and the reason y hes selling it for 400 that guys not really good at selling cars the one im talking bout is supposed to br selling at 860 so im getting for 400

Considering you're only 15, you obviously have next to no experience in driving. Consider buying yourself a slow car at first, and learn how to drive in a slow car. Buying a GST,GSX,TSi as a first car is a BAD idea, chances are you will loose you lisence quickly, or worst total the car, and worst of all hurt yourself.

lol. But seriously, our public school system seems to suck a fat one if that is what's going out into the world. Let me tell you, 94talontsi89, my first car was a slow old person car and I have absolutely NO tickets. It's kinda nice actually. I got pulled over on my way to school on the freeway and the cop says "license and registration" and then "so where's your front plate?" Me: "uh, I don't know. I just took it off." Cop: "ok" Runs my stuff and says "be safe" Lol. After I was speeding and had no front plate. Another time, I get pulled over after running a stop sign right by my house. Cop: "did you see the sign?" Me: "yeah" Cop: "you didn't stop" Me: "oh, sorry" ...bla... Cop: "ok, well be careful" Now my brother's first car was an Integra GSR and then a tubo LS, probably 300+hp. Raced all day long. Almost everyday now he has court or community service or fines or.... I hope you get your car man. DSMs are great cars. But if you get the turbo, drive it RESPONSIBLY (most of the time).
